As I look forward to 2013, I cannot help but wonder what my future holds. And since this is the time of year that we all 'resolve' to do something better, I've been been thoughtful about my New Year's Resolutions. Unlike in years past, I don't have a long list of resolutions...only a couple.
Last week, I watched a 9 month old baby boy learning how to pull himself up and stand. Once standing, he would take a few steps to the left or right and back. He was so proud of himself that he clapped his hands and squealed. A couple of times, he even did a little dance.
His celebration made me think about the way that I approach new endeavors and take on challenges in life. I tend to want to run...to sprint at full force. I want fast results and can be pretty hard on myself for the stumbles that are sometimes inevitable. And hardest of all...I rarely stop to celebrate my progress or successes. But...that was last year! You are welcome to join me in this new commitment...
