...2014 has been a beast so far...but I am still here!

I know that I have been a little quiet over the last few months.

Truth is, my professional life climbed out of the nice tidy little box that I had put it in. It happens. I have been spending quite a bit of time trying to make the needed adjustments so that I don't lose myself in the chaos of work. It has not been easy.

I've had tear-filled moments, the kind that have made me question my own motivations, desires, ability, and drive. But I have also had moments of great inspiration; those that assured me that I was in the right place, doing the right thing. I've also had a few revelations about who I am and why I am here and what it will take for me to fulfill my life's calling. At the end of the day, I know one thing...

I have been chosen to stand, speak, and sometimes fight for those who cannot fight for themselves.
However, being chose does not make this champion thing automatic.

Being a champion is a choice.

We have to choose to step into the arena each day for battle. It is not an easy decision. I don't always make the right choice. Honestly, I don't always want to fight. I don't like it...

....but I understand need for and purpose of champions.
I know what it is like to have been silenced by life. I know what it is like to need a CHAMPION.

Being  a CHAMPION is my assignment and I accept it.
It is an honor.
It is part of my life and who I am.

So the press of life that I am now experiencing is my training process. I am learning how to be a champion, but not be consumed by it. I am learning the balance of life that will give me the longevity and endurance that I need for this great assignment.

Most importantly, I am learning how to yield to the ONE (God) who has called me to the arena. Each day, I have to put on his colors and his armor and make my way to the arena and trust HIS tactical guidance and instructions. I'm not so good at this part yet, but I want to be. I choose to be.

Love you much,
